These 8″ x 12″x 1.5″ Himalayan Salt Bricks are the largest bricks we stock. They are available in two, four and ten brick quantities and are made from the finest grade of Himalayan salt crystals. Their large size makes them ideal for culinary applications include salt block cooking as well as for use as serving platters-for both hold and cold items. (Himalayan salt retains its temperature for up to an hour.) They make great cornerstones in salt wall applications as well.
If you are thinking of ordering bricks to construct your own salt wall, we are happy to supply free salt wall construction consultations with your contractor–once you have purchased your bricks. Please note: salt brick walls must be adhered and secured properly in order to pass inspection if they are used in a commercial setting. We also have our own special adhesive that we use on all of our salt walls and recommend you get a supply of it as well.
Himalayan salt walls become natural ion generators when moisture evaporates off their surface. These beneficial ions are the same ions found at the base of a waterfall, during a thunderstorm or when waves crash on the shore. They allow us to take in more oxygen and can help respiratory conditions such as asthma and allergies.
TO CALCULATE HOW MANY BRICKS YOU SHOULD ORDER:
You will need approximately two of these 8″ x 12″ bricks per square foot of salt wall that you are building.
Absolutely. These are great for salt block cooking. Just make sure you warm them up gradually, otherwise, like all salt blocks, you will run the danger that they will crack or break.
If you need salt bricks for any reason, this is the place.
