Great for salt walls and salt block cooking
These 8″ x 8″ x 1.5″ Himalayan Salt Plates are perfect for the gourmet lifestyle. They are made from Grade A, edible Himalayan salt and weigh approximately 5 pounds each. The 1.5″ thickness means they retain the heat for longer and are less likely to break. They are perfect for Himalayan salt block cooking as well as serving platters for both hot and cold items. (Himalayan salt bricks retain their temperature (hot or cold) for up to an hour. Salt plates add flavor, complexity and dynamic experience to dining. Great for cooking beef, chicken, fish, and vegetables. They can also serve as dinner plates and make great gifts for the person who has everything. You can also chill them and use to serve ice cream on. They also can be used in large salt walls to great effect. Made from the highest quality Himalayan salt.
If you are thinking of ordering bricks to construct your own salt wall, we are happy to supply free salt wall construction consultations with your contractor–once you have purchased your bricks. Please note: salt brick walls must be adhered and secured properly in order to pass inspection if they are used in a commercial setting. We also have our own special adhesive that we use on all of our salt walls and recommend you get a supply of it as well.

FAQ
DO YOU PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BUILDING A SALT WALL?
We are happy to provide instructions to help you build your own salt wall. However, we require you to purchase the salt bricks before we will reveal our proprietary knowledge. When we build our salt walls we use our own glue which is specially developed for adhering to the salt bricks and we're happy to sell you this adhesive.
HOW DO I USE A SALT BRICK PLATE TO COOK?
Please take care when heating a natural plate like our Himalayan Salt Plates. When heating the salt plate, it is important to do it is a slow methodical manner. Heating the salt too fast can cause a natural cracking in the salt. Unfortunately, when using all natural items we do have to accept that nature is unpredictable. In order to avoid any rapid heat shock, we recommend using out salt plate on whatever heating surface be it a stove top, grill or hot plate, and starting from room temperature, slowly warm up your salt brick, plate or slab to the desired cooking temperature.
