Rare White Himalayan Salt lamp. While most Himalayan salt is streaked with orange and red mineral deposits, occasionally our salt miners come across a vein of “rare white” salt deep within the Himalayan mountain salt mines. This lack of coloration means that you can control the color of your white salt lamp by using colored bulbs.
We offer these rare white salt lamps in our medium size which is 7″ to 9″ tall, and weighing between 5 and 7 pounds. They maintain all the beneficial properties of Himalayan salt in that they produce natural ions when lit that help condition the air of pollens, dust particles, and other airborne pollutants. There's a simple formula. Decide on which room you want to put your salt lamp. Figure out the square footage of that room. Divide the square footage by 10. The resulting number is the minimum size, in pounds, of the salt lamp for that room. For example: let's say you are putting your salt lamp in a 10' x 12' room. That means the room is 120 square feet. Dividing 120 by 10 means you want at least a 12 pound salt lamp which would be our XL Salt Lamp. This formula is based on the natural ion output of Himalayan salt which is calculated as one pound of Himalayan salt covers 10 square feet with natural ions. Always remember, you can't have too many natural ions, so bigger is always better.
