DO SALT LAMPS NEED TO BE TURNED ON TO WORK?
Yes. A salt lamp that is turned off is just a hunk of dull-colored salt rock. When turned on, the salt lamp transforms into a visual spectacular, with an inner glow that illuminates the color variations in the lamp. Additionally, heat is required to release natural ions from the salt. The inside light bulb is what generates this heat. Why would you ever turn a salt lamp off?
