Have to admit I was very skeptical about Red Light Therapy, but a friend bought me four sessions at a local wellness center, so having nothing to lose I did the four sessions. Not only did I feel better in general, but my friends told me I looked years younger. When I found out what the price of these sessions was, I decided to look around for an in-home Red Light Therapy Unit and came across this one. I called the wellness center to find some information about their red light therapy device and found this unit actually has better specs than the one they were using. Yes, unlike Laser Light Therapy, or harmful UV light therapy, LED Red Light Therapy uses the Red and Infrared Light Spectrum that work at the cellular level to stimulate cell repair and normalize their function. The only thing to be aware of is that prolonged exposure to LED Red Light Therapy can be harmful to the eyes and therefore we highly recommend you use the supplied goggles during your red light therapy sessions.
Great unit. Love the timer function and that I can take it down and store in a closet when I'm not using it.
